Delamode is amongst the leading operators of Contract Logistics Services in Romania, operating sites for automotive, hanging garment and temperature control and ambient retail customers.
At its site in the west of Bucharest, Delamode operates a dedicated facility for Honeywell. Operating 24/7 this facility serves the nearby manufacturing plant with components Just In Time for the production process, as well as managing the storage and onward distribution of finished products to demanding automotive manufacturers across Europe.
Also in Bucharest, Delamode operates a Hanging garment warehouse facility. Here finished products are collected from factories around the country, stored and checked before onward distribution to the UK.
DHL Delamode Logistics (former Tibbett & Britten Delamode Logistics and then Exel Delamode) provides domestic FMCG logistics services for major retailers and manufacturers across Romania. A 50:50 joint venture with Delamode Romania, the company was established in 2004 after a long history of partnership, to start-up and manage a national composite distribution center near Bucharest for the leading German-based trader, Metro.
DHL Delamode Logistics is managing Metro’s purpose built temperature controlled and ambient warehouse operations, totalling 25.000sqm. In the 10.000sqm temperature controlled platform fresh, frozen product is picked from stock whilst all forms of chilled products are cross docked through the facility. The warehouse is built and operated to the highest western european standards
DHL Delamode Logistics employ 160 people in the multi-fresh platform and operate a vehicle fleet of over 30 specialised multi-chamber temperature controlled trailers.
Beginning with March 2007, DHL Delamode Logistics has been operating the 15.000m2 facility for ambient product in Bucharest. In addition to this, Delamode will manage the distribution to the stores and collection from Metro suppliers through its domestic network and cross docking points strategically located around Romania. |
